HideMe Free VPN Proxy - Unlimited Free VPN Proxy App Reviews

As far as I can tell, it hides my IP address perfectly. Some websites slow waaaaay down and even become unusable, but I don’t know if this is the apps fault, or the website blocks this sort of thing. Unfortunately, that seems to happen on exactly the sort of site that you’d want your IP address to be blocked.

I just downloaded it and right when i open it, it crashes and i cant connect to it.

We’re in Mexico for 3 weeks and I brought my AppleTv. HBOgo does not work here, but HidemeVPN does. Installed it on my Macbook Air, set it for United States, launched the HBOgo website and signed in. I needed to re-boot my MBA, but when I did, things went smoothly. No glitches or slow streaming. It works great….and, it’s free. Thanks!

Once installed, it’s just two clicks: ‘Select your country’ and ‘Connect’. Used a ‘Find my IP address’ website to verify the performance of the VPN service. Without it active, it pin pointed my location and computer information. With it active, it had me pegged on the other side of the country. Must have VPN app for safe internet usage in open WiFi locations.

Consistent speed but at what cost. Cuts my internet down by 2/3’s the speed its suppose to be at. Very simple to use, but doesnt do you much good.

I could connect through England IP from Iran and open Facebook and watched a clip on Youtube too. Of course sometimes it doesn’t work, but that’s OK. I chose Singapour but on ‘find my IP’ website, my IP was England. Thanks a million from application maker. It helped me a lot

This was a pointless download. It’s probably only good for nextflix or other streaming sites if you aren’t in that country. The GREAT FIREWALL still blocks this app. It’s probably because all web traffic isn’t being sent through the VPN. Don’t get the app.

For a few minutes, it worked really well, like you guys said seamlessly, simple, and easy to use, but all of a sudden, it didnt connect anywhere … I tried all the servers, it kept failing me!!! So far, not sure if it was temporary thing or not ...

Pros: - Excellent connection speed - This thing connects and disconnects in about 1 second! Better than all the paid apps I’ve tried during my six years in China. - Super simple interface and usage. Cons: - As reported by others (and especially in China) the speed of websites with any kind of streaming video is horrendously choked 85% of the time. I hope the developers can find a way to combat this. - Also possibly just in China - After connected for awhile (time varies), China is still able to disable any data from coming through the connection. All in all, for basic viewing (minus streaming video) I’ve been satisfied with this app. It is FREE, and I’m taking that into account. So…. three stars. Would give four if the speeds weren’t choked and five if that and the disconnecting issue goes away. We’re all rooting for the final, kickass VPN to end all this internet censorship nonsense.
